Postgraduate

MSc Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology

(formerly Dental Radiology)

Study support

For each year of this course students must come to the UK for a two-week intensive residential course. These courses supplement the tuition received through the submission of assignments. As well as the obvious academic advantages of these courses, they enable students to get to know one another and many keep in touch with each other for the entire length of the degree and beyond.

Course notes are sent out each month, and students are set assignments which must be completed and submitted to GKT for marking and comments. Assignments are scheduled between January and September of each year, and the marks for some of these will count towards the student's assessment.

Timetable of events

Year 1
June/July: two weeks of lectures, seminars, practicals and mock examinations in all first year modules.

Year 2
April/May: three weeks of clinical work and tutorials in all second year modules.

Year 3
August/September: three weeks of lectures and tutorials in third year modules.

Year 4
Individually allocated date: two weeks of individual tutorials on the Report.

Note: It is a student's responsibility to ensure that they make all travel and, if necessary, visa arrangements in order to attend the intensive courses.
  • If students consent, their name, address, telephone and fax numbers are circulated to fellow students to encourage a study support network and to prevent a feeling of isolation.
  • Personal support is given by letter, fax and telephone.
  • Tutorial guidance is given on the Report .
